W6YDD supports the Sweep Riders of The Sierra, an organization of experienced horsemen, horsewomen, and amateur radio operators who ride the trail behind the last competitors to ensure no rider or horse is left behind and to report any problems they encounter. They assist event management by reporting trail conditions, helping locate riders, or horses that require assistance, and relaying information from remote areas where other communications may be limited. W6YDD proudly supports Sweep Riders of the Sierra by assisting with radio communications, equipment setup, and technical support.
